Default Oversized Tonic Warning
During Halloween finale, when turning into a Mad King guard, I noticed a new skill is activated. It displays a skill icon which reads:

Notice! While in this area, certain tonics will convert you into a more festive appearance. Affected tonics are: Abominable, Automatonic, Phantasmal and Sinister Automatonic

Very nice feature to avoid griefers which ruined finales by surrounding Mad King Thorn in previous years!

Anyone found another of these little new game features in the game?

That was implemented a few festivals ago. Can't remember which one exactly.

Are you sure? I remember being unable to see MKT during last Halloween festival, when a few golems were surrounding him. Or was it 2 years ago?...

Kinda related, I did see a semi-large tonic (Black Beast of Aaagh) that was not-quite-as but still annoying compared to some of the other ones from previous years. Big enough to be a significant distraction, if not completely block.

The Bone Dragon tonic isn't affected either. I really don't care whether or not I can see him or not, but that's just me.

It was brought in during the Wintersday finale - then it turned people into snowmen.

Those from the Mysterious tonic are not affected - Abyssal, Bone Dragon, Crystal Guardian, etc.

Yep, mods feel free to close (I actually first looked for a thread with title with "oversized" before creating this one , although I think it's nice to know that Anet reacted, but not to prevent all tonics.

nothing wrong with blocking MKT except it takes some of holiday fun away if he's blocked and u cant see him. i believe the blocking did matter somehow in wintersday.

Weird I never noticed it and I have done Kam and LA with an everlasting Phantom tonic.
Then again I didn't go near Mad King I stayed in the center of the circle.
I'll check next event.

I can see a golem now in Kam AD23. I wonder whether the hex applies only to EL tonics, or maybe in the area around MKT.

Ok I see it now it's if you get to close to him you get the message and then change.
But yeah seams to only work with some tonics as there is a Phantom that's almost on top of him.
